Homes For Our Troops- Volunteer Day

Veterans in our program choose where they want to build their forever home and, as you may or may not yet know, one of our veterans chose Byron, CA. In 2011, Sgt Garcia was on a foot patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan, when he stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED). He immediately lost his left leg in the blast and sustained severe damage to his right leg. Now, as the building of his new adapted home begins the final stages of construction, Homes For Our Troops will be hosting a Volunteer Day. At this event, community members will be able to directly contribute to the home build by helping us landscape the home!
