Karri embarked on her design journey in 1999, initially crafting birth announcements, birthday invitations, greeting cards, and scrapbooks. Over time, she transitioned from paper and glue to wielding a computer and mouse. In 2010, her focus shifted to web design for bloggers, sparking a newfound career passion.

In 2013, Karri took a significant step forward by enrolling in the Web Design and New Media program at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her dedication paid off, culminating in her graduation with a degree in 2018.

Karri calls Discovery Bay, California her home, sharing it with her husband of 29 years, Jim, along with their 24-year-old son, Jacob, 12-year-old daughter, Alexa, and their beloved dog, Bingo. Beyond her design work, Karri's heart lies in community volunteering. Her diverse interests include reading, photography, all things Harry Potter, exploring California with her family, and savoring a delightful cup of coffee.

Greetings!  I'm Denise Duran, I grew up in Cupertino when it was known for its Cherry Orchards, not Apple Computers!  Adulting began when I met my husband of nearly 30 years and he suggested that we move to the East Bay to purchase an affordable home.  Brentwood became the destination when our eldest was ready to start Kindergarten.  With three kids, three dogs, and 20 years later, we have moved throughout the City's neighborhoods and now, nearly empty-nesters, continue living our best lives here.   
 

Tanya Aviles is highly committed to her local community, as evidenced by her leadership role in the upcoming Celebrating Brentwood Gala. Her enthusiasm for creating a remarkable and memorable event is admirable. In 2019, she founded Prestige Cleaning Services LLC, a family-run business that specializes in residential and commercial cleaning services in Antioch, California. She had to pivot her business focus from residential to commercial during the pandemic, which enabled her to restructure her company based on her values. Tanya is devoted to providing her customers with quality services at an economical cost, and she is proud to offer discounted rates to veterans, seniors, and disabled individuals. Moreover, she is honored to be a part of the Cleaning for a Reason, a non-profit organization that provides free cleanings for cancer patients.

My name is Katie Brandt, I was born and raised in East Contra Costa County and raised with parents who were always involved in Brentwood's community. I went to schools locally and ultimately graduated from Chico State with a Business Administration Degree. While in Chico I was involved in extracurricular clubs and organizations. I was a member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management), Chico State Ballroom Dance Club and Alpha Chi Sorority. I learned a lot in college and apply it at my family's car dealership day to day. My love for our community has only grown stronger over the years, I always knew one day I wanted to do more for the Brentwood Community. I am honored to have the opportunity to positively impact Brentwood as both a Chamber Member, Director and now Chairperson for the 5th Annual East Bay Business Expo & Job Fair. 

Being a Daily Money Manager is the culmination of a career in finance, which previously included being a Credit Union branch manager, stock and options trader, and working as a financial representative at a major brokerage firm. In addition to providing daily money management and financial coaching services, I am currently working towards earning my certification as a senior advisor.
