Booming Business in Brentwood!

President’s Message - August 2024

Dear Members of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce,

As we welcome the month of August, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional work our Board of Directors and Ambassadors have accomplished since January. Their dedication and tireless efforts have significantly contributed to building a stronger and more vibrant Chamber. Every month, we proudly add new members to our community, and at each event, it is truly inspiring to see more of our members attending and supporting each other. The sense of community we have fostered is nothing short of fantastic.

In last month's letter I shared the first of the four pillars that are the foundation of the Chamber’s mission to support our members, this month I’d like to highlight the second pillar of our Chamber’s mission: advocacy. Our Advocacy Committee has been diligently working on creating a comprehensive public policy platform. This platform will serve as a guiding document for the Chamber in advocating for businesses within our community. We believe that through strong advocacy, we can ensure that the voices of our local businesses are heard, and their needs addressed. I would like to thank the members who have donated their time on the Advocacy committee and on this mission.

It is also important to note that the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce is a nonpartisan organization. As we enter this election season, the Chamber will not be formally endorsing any candidate for public office. However, we remain committed to providing a platform for all candidates to meet our members. We encourage all candidates to participate in the various events we will be hosting in the coming months, allowing our members to engage with them directly. The Chamber is also in the planning stages of hosting a Candidates Forum, (similar to the one we hosted in 2022). Later this month we will be sending out a request for questions you would like to be asked of the candidates for Mayor and City Council. When that email arrives in your inbox, please take a moment to respond.

Thank you for your continued support and participation. Together, we are building a thriving business community. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and witnessing the continued growth and success of our Chamber.

In Service,

Karri Reiser
President, Brentwood Chamber of Commerce
