211 or 988 Call Center Volunteers

Posted: 09/10/2024

The Contra Costa Crisis Center is a nonprofit organization that is committed to providing free 24/7 services to everyone in need by operating the 211 Information and Referral line for health and human services as well as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The mission of the Contra Costa Crisis Center is to keep people alive and safe, help them through crises, and provide or connect them with culturally relevant services in the community. The Contra Costa Crisis Center heavily relies on their dedicated volunteers to provide support, counseling, and hope – helping people in emotional or psychological distress. Volunteering is one way to make a difference in someone’s life. If you’re interested in serving as a volunteer for the Contra Costa Crisis Center, please visit https://www.crisis-center.org/volunteer/ or email Kaitlyn Coughran, Volunteer & Training Manager at kaitlync@crisis-center.org for more information. September is National Suicide Prevention Month!
